I’m so happy that you’ve made it to The Financial Read.
I’m not a financial guru, a life coach, and I don’t know it all.
But, I have a journey, I have a voice, and I have a story that is meant to be shared. I was born in and raised in New York City. After receiving my Bachelor’s degree in Communications, I worked as an executive in the fashion industry throughout my 20’s.
Living in New York City, the second most expensive city in the United States, there were times where I lived paycheck to paycheck to make ends meet. As many people do in NYC, with a sense of normalcy.
Many of my friends had similar financial situations; friends from different backgrounds and different incomes highlighting that it wasn’t how much money you had, but how you managed your money. I realized I didn’t want to be comfortable, I didn’t want to continue a generation of spending and not saving. I wanted to be in control of my finances.
I learned through trial and error; making financial mistakes, and working to correct them. I learned through reading and taking action to end a cycle that I did not want to continue.
I hope that The Financial Read can be a guide for you. This is a judgment-free zone, created to spread hope, inspiration, resilience, and positivity.
